Mino Ware Donburi Bowl – Tokusa Pattern

A Japanese ceramic donburi bowl designed for everyday use. Its gently rounded, slightly deep shape holds rice and toppings neatly together, making it well suited for a wide range of rice dishes and soup noodles.

The bowl carries the Tokusa pattern, a traditional vertical stripe motif long used in Japanese ceramics since the Edo period. Each line is applied by hand, and the slight irregularities of the brush give every bowl its own character and the warmth of handcrafted work.

Produced in Mino, a region that accounts for over half of Japan’s tableware production, this bowl was made in collaboration with Showa Seitou, a long-established kiln in Dachi, Toki City.  Understated in colour and considered in form, it is surprisingly light weight and versatile bowl for everyday.
