About Karintō Edition
Karintō Edition is a UK-based specialist in hand-crafted Japanese homeware and traditional Kōgei (Japanese crafts), curated for modern everyday use.
We curate a collection where cultural heritage and the skill of our makers meet daily life.
Welcome to Karintō — an open house for anyone seeking inspiration, or a joyful addition to the everyday. From our base in the UK, we connect small-scale Japanese makers with people who value honest craft, thoughtful design and well-made objects for the home.
Our collection reflects the rich regional diversity of Japanese craft. We feature a considered selection of Japanese ceramics — from the historic porcelain kilns of Arita and Hasami to the hand-thrown character of Mashiko and Banko. Alongside these we offer Sakai kitchen knives, incense from long-established Kyoto houses, tableware and decorative objects, chosen for honest making and a place in modern living.
Whether it is the comforting weight of a Seto-yaki mug or the botanical wonder and precision of a Sola Cube, we believe in sharing the stories, regions and makers behind every object.
By sharing these pieces, Karintō Edition aims to make hand-crafted Japanese tableware, kitchen tools and homeware accessible for everyday use. We hope to be a place where you can discover, be inspired, and find objects made to be treasured for a lifetime.
