Collection: Nabeshima Kosen Kiln

Located in Imari City, Saga Prefecture—the birthplace of Nabeshima ware—Kosen Kiln is one of the few remaining kilns specialising in celadon pottery. The kiln, run by Kawazoe family, honours the distinguished legacy of Nabeshima ware, which once graced the tables of shoguns and lords during the Edo period.

For three generations, the Kawazoe family has perfected their craft through over a decade of dedicated glaze research. Their unique Nabeshima celadon, which resembles the beauty of jade yet consistently reproducible, represents over 300 years of regional celadon tradition.

We carry a selection of their everyday tableware at Karintō Edition: tea cups, teapots, bowls, and sake ware.
