This is a porcelain plate with a gentle off-white glaze that conveys the natural beauty of the clay and its raw material.
Created by Jicon, a porcelain brand rooted in the 350-year history of Touetsugama kiln and the Imamura pottery family of Saga. Founded by Hajime Imamura in collaboration with designer Oji Masanori, Jicon brings generations of white porcelain techniques from Mikawachi and Arita into contemporary daily life.
Rather than Arita ware's typical pale blue-white perfection, this plate features a semi-matt finish reminiscent of antique porcelain with nostalgic texture. Made using local Amakusa porcelain stone and traditional glaze application methods, it is porcelain that retains a sense of warmth.
This flower plate series reimagines the kaiseki-style plates originally produced at the family kiln, adapting traditional forms and dimensions for home dining. The kiku (chrysanthemum) shape lends calm elegance to your table.
Available in two sizes.
