The fragrances of Kyoto, from one of Japan's oldest incense houses.
Founded in 1594 as a medicinal-herb merchant, Kungyokudo has kept its craft for over four centuries. The range runs to twelve fragrances, each blended around natural essences with a contemporary note, and each drawn from a Kyoto place. Light one to freshen the morning, to mark an afternoon pause, or to settle the evening. The colour of each stick echoes its scent, and the delicate Japanese paper boxes are matched to the sticks, so each is easy to tell apart.
Sakura of Daigo / 醍醐の桜 – a fresh and delicate fragrance blended with sandalwood and cherry bark as its base.
