Collection: Jicon
Jicon is a porcelain brand with over 350 years of heritage, created by potter Hajime Imamura in collaboration with designer Oji Masanori.
The Imamura family once served as the official kiln of the Sasebo domain before relocating to Arita, where they founded Touetsugama kiln. Today, Hajime and his wife Maki continue this lineage, crafting Jicon pieces from local Amakusa porcelain stone—the same material used by their ancestors.
Through developing their own clay and glaze, and firing at a lower temperature than typical Arita ware, they achieve Jicon’s distinctive “natural white” porcelain—a soft, textured white with the warmth and depth of antique porcelain.
Created as a collection for everyday use, Jicon brings centuries of craftsmanship into contemporary life, offering tableware that feels both timeless and quietly modern.
